We were recommended Decoflame by our architect, Mogens Starke, who designed the house and collaborates with Decoflame. We looked at the available models, and the one we chose fits perfectly into the house because it is an open fireplace, and we've been extremely happy with it.
We enjoy cosiness in both the kitchen and the living room, and it creates a lovely atmosphere when coming in from a walk in the cold. It's so nice to just light it up. It truly creates a cosy ambience.
Compared to a traditional fireplace, it doesn't produce as much heat. Our house is new and modern, so it's well insulated. We don't need the heat; we need the cosiness, and it does that perfectly. However, on autumn days when it's warm enough but still a bit chilly due to the humidity, it works wonders to light it for just half an hour.
